GoPro Pitch Presentation w/ UM
Project Summary
At the time, UM was tasked with a crucial mission: to propel GoPro’s brand further on its rapid ascent within the video electronics sector. GoPro recognized the necessity to broaden their market presence and enhance the standing of their hardware products in the industry. The objective of this presentation was to showcase UM’s competencies, innovative ideas, and strategic approaches that could facilitate GoPro’s expansion of market reach and bolster consumer engagement.
Style Direction
Collaborating with UM, we addressed the client’s request by constructing a visual deck that served as a strategic guide for their market objectives. The layouts were designed to seamlessly integrate motion videos, facilitate timeline transitions, and incorporate animations tailored to distinct presenters. While shaping the stylistic narrative, the aim was to harmonize UM’s branding with GoPro’s product visual storytelling, enhancing overall message coherence.
Navigating design challenges, some charts and graphics couldn’t be replicated. Thus, the approach involved integrating pre-designed visuals while upholding visual consistency. This was crucial in executing the presentation efficiently, given the constraints of time and resources that didn’t allow for recreating each diagram from scratch.

Slide Visual Story Design
Forging visual coherence in this presentation involved identifying shared design elements between both brands and leveraging them to guide the presentation’s narrative. The overarching visual story drew inspiration from two companies renowned for delivering adventurous tales and accomplishing audacious feats. This served as the foundation for crafting a compelling narrative, while also pinpointing and presenting innovative vertical solutions.
The challenge of handling data-intensive slides was tackled by dissecting them and implementing a gradual build approach. This ensured the presentation’s flow remained clear, aligning with the visual narrative of the entire deck. In-house production was undertaken to create tailor-made visuals for internal use, dedicated solely to this presentation’s objectives. UM believed that investing additional effort to articulate their commitment and measurable outcomes would leave a lasting impression on GoPro.
